HOME AGAIN…
Well, we’re back home – or is it that we just left home. I mean sometimes we feel schizophrenic. Is home North Carolina or is it Colorado? This back and forth stuff is tough! But if ‘home is where the heart is’ (I know – I hate clichés too) then we better get used to calling Colorado home – ‘cause God has already transferred our hearts. Anyway – We arrived in North Carolina a little after midnight Friday evening following just two days on the road and a few hours of sleep in a couple of different rest areas along the way. We are all safe and sound! This morning we worshipped with friends that we hadn’t seen for over a month. It was also a good time to give God praise for all of the things that He has accomplished since we last sent out and update. So let me share a few of those things with you!
– We were invited to attend a Church Planting Conference at the Ponderosa Lodge (Colorado General Baptist Convention retreat center) where we began to network with other planters across the state. At the conference we met Caleb (a planter in Colorado Springs) who is a graphics artist. Caleb is designing our church logo, our business logo and sign (Check out the new business logo below.), AND he is bringing a student work team down to Florence on Saturday, March 21 (from the house churches that he is working with) to help clean out our building.

– God enabled us to ‘legally’ establish the church. We have registered the church name with the Secretary of State of Colorado – we have obtained our EIN from the IRS – we received our 501-3C status under the umbrella of the State Convention – we secured a P O Box for the church mailing address – and we opened a church bank account so that we could begin to handle the financial affairs of the church. We are now legally:
SUMMIT
P O BOX 290
Florence, CO 81226
– The Lord continues to work in amazing ways in the hearts of those in Fremont County. We have ask for and continue to request that you pray for God to open the hearts of many in Fremont County who are needing the ministry of this new church plant. Well – God is faithfully doing just that. During this past month in Colorado several women expressed an interest in “when” we were going to be starting a Bible study! Two of these ladies have husbands who are in prison!
– We were able to “move in” the apartment during the last week of our stay in Florence. The apartment still has a lot of work to do – but we are finally in it!
– Also, the pain that Freita had experienced before we started the trip subsided during the month.
God is a faithful supplier – who calls us to come and join Him in the work that He is already doing. We continue to praise God for His awesome work.

We are already waiting for you to come HOME !
